       Growing up watching his father, an attorney, address juries during trials and crowds as master of ceremonies at Shea Stadium, Gustavo learned from an early age how to speak to the people and command their attention. While preparing for a career in law, music called his name. He started using Virtual DJ on an old Dell laptop at 17 years old and has been honing his DJ and MC craft ever since. Leaving a life of practicing law behind, he still wanted to pay homage to his previous career path and thus, DJ Your Honor was born.

Within two months of his pro debut, Your Honor earned his first two residencies in NYC on Friday and Saturday nights. His range and diversity has allowed him to quickly rise in the DJ world and perform at the world’s top nightclubs as well as host and MC events for prestigious corporate and non-profit clients. Powerhouses like TAO Group, the New York Mets, Dell, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Volunteering Untapped and Quiet Events have experienced his incredible performances at venues such as Marquee, LAVO, MOXY, Hudson Terrace, Stage 48, Citi Field, Mansion, PRYSM, etc. as well as high-profile events such as Winter Music Conference, Miami Music Week, EDC Week Las Vegas, Promo Only Summer Sessions, South by Southwest (SxSW), Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL), Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.

During his power hour sets, his unique style of DJing includes utilizing tone-play and word-play: techniques that blend songs in a way that sound live-produced as opposed to a simple blend.
